Boozhoo,
Welcome to my first editorial, I will be posting on subjects that affect the members of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. If there is something that you want to share, something that you think we all need to hear about you can use the CONTACT US form on this website. That form sends an email directly to me.
The election is quickly approaching. We have people that are running for the Board of Directors that have never held that position, and we have sitting BOD members that are once again running for the position they now hold. Should we have Term Limits?
If you look on Facebook, you will see hate filled and biased opinions. Every time I go on to Facebook and read these posts, I have to shake my head in disbelief, last night I was reading the posts and all I could think was, why do you hate this person so much? It is obvious that the hate filled posts are more of a personal matter than a political matter. Just because you do not get along with that person does not mean that they will not do well for the Tribe in a BOD capacity. The one-sided remarks and critiques are not good for the Tribe. Keep an Open Mind and make an Educated Decision. Do not decide who to vote for based on the hatred that is spewed by people on Facebook. Put your friends’ feelings aside to do what is best for the Tribe. Most importantly please VOTE.
