One of the Truths most people MAY NOT know is that Enrolled Tribal Members of American Indian Tribes do not all look alike. First Nations or Native American Enrolled Tribal Members come in all shapes, sizes, hair color, eye color, and skin tone. The reasons for this vary but the most prevalent reason is love.
Unfortunately First Nations and Native American Tribal Members with brown skin tone, brown hair, and brown eyes are often the worst offenders when it comes to discriminating or harassing Enrolled Tribal Members that do not fit their perception of what an American Indian should look like.
To verify Tribal Enrollment when needed Tribal Members will have an enrollment card issued by their tribe with their file number, that can be verified by calling the listed tribe’s enrollment office.
