April 18, 2023 Tribal Board Wrap-Up. The Sault Tribe Board of Directors approved the request by the Housing Department to improve the wages and benefits they are offering to the Housing Department's New Construction Staff. This comes after years of no benefits being offered to the Construction Staff.
Cloverland Electric Cooperative is interested in working with the Tribe to build a solar farm. Grant funds may be available for this project through the Office of Indian Energy. If funded this project will create new jobs in a growing field. Details are unfolding.
