Sault Tribe Board meets May 2 in Sault Ste. Marie

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting beginning 5 p.m. on May 2 at the Sault Kewadin Casino, in person or via Zoom, https://zoom.us/j/83640619761.
“Matters Raised by the Membership” will be held at 5 p.m. in person or by virtual attendance. The link is available Sault Tribe website under membership assistance for the meeting link and Membership Form that must be completed. The deadline to submit a form is 1 p.m. on meeting day. Those who have already registered for Zoom meetings need not register again unless they have a matter for the board.
On the agenda under Resolutions is: LE Operation Stonegarden; ACFS-Culturally Specific Underserved; ACFS-Transitional Housing; JKL Fiduciary Committee; FY 2023 Budget Document 003 (Schedule C); FY 2023 Governmental Cap Ex; FY 2024 Budget Document 001 (Schedule A); SSBCI Capital and Equity Fund; GRIP Solar Energy Storage Project; Appointments to Tax Commission; Appointment of J. Hautamaki Reserve Appellate Judge; and Eighth Amendment to approval of Key Employees.
Under New Business, the board will consider: Committee Appointments, Approve Small Mesh Permit R. Peterson, Swearing in of Unit One Top Vote Getter, and Board Concerns.
